Privacy notice

Last updated 1 November 2026

This notice explains what personal information Zuri Logistics collects through zurilogistics.com, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect

  • Enquiries and quote requests: your name, email, optional phone and company, the service you’re interested in, details of your shipment and your message.
  • Customer accounts: your name, email, optional phone, account type and organisation name, and a securely hashed password if you use email/password sign-in. We record when you sign in.
  • Optional Google sign-in: your Google account identifier, name and verified email address. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts.
  • Shipments: sender and receiver names, contact details and addresses, descriptions of goods, and tracking history, entered by you or our staff to carry out the shipment.
  • Private documents and billing: documents you upload for your shipment, such as commercial invoices, packing lists or identity/customs records, and invoices, payment amounts and payment references.
  • Security records: IP address and browser details for sign-ins and changes, used to protect accounts and investigate misuse.

How we use it

  • To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • To book, move, clear and deliver shipments, and to send you shipment updates by email.
  • To run your account: verifying your email, signing you in and resetting passwords.
  • To keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations.

We only send marketing news if you tick the optional box on our forms, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Google sign-in

You can choose Google to create or access a customer account. Existing email/password accounts must be signed in before Google can be connected. Google handles its own sign-in under the Google Privacy Policy. Email/password sign-in remains available.

Public tracking

Anyone with a tracking number can see a shipment’s status, route cities, pieces, weight and update history. Names, phone numbers, addresses, contents and documents are never shown on the public tracking page. Diplomatic shipments show their status only.

Cookies

We use an essential cookie to keep you signed in. If you choose Google sign-in, we also use a short-lived security cookie to protect that sign-in request. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing

We share shipment details only with the people who need them to carry and clear your cargo (for example carriers and customs authorities), and use service providers for website hosting, private document storage, company email and optional Google sign-in. Incoming company emails may be copied to the company’s designated contact inbox for handling. Uploaded documents require a signed-in account with permission to view the shipment. We don’t sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the service and to meet legal, tax and customs record-keeping requirements, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent. Shipment update emails include a link to stop them. To make a request, email info@zurilogistics.com. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.
